Language
The heidict is the lexicon of the ecosystem. Canonical definitions — senses, register, etymology — live with Benedict in ~/ht/heidict/entries/*.yaml; the pages here are Hei-Canon mirrors that add ecosystem placement. When the two surfaces disagree, heidict wins on lexicography and the canon wins on placement.

Register saturation
House rule, and the one most likely to get an article sent back: the prose reaches for the lemma wherever an outsider-English gloss could equally do the work. Someone stalled on a load is wedged, not stuck. A dim brain is cooked, not tired. A refusal to say the safe-median take is based, not contrarian. Neighbours converging on a shared-vibe take is social-graph convolution, not groupthink. A claim engineered to score is benchmaxxed, not gamed. When an article reads flatter than it should, the fix is usually a lemma swap.
